The Chicken Hof

This 30 something year old chicken hof in Apkujong is definitely one of a kind. Ice cold 500cc beers and the unique curry fried chicken make a good start...

Gyeongbokgung, October 2009

Last autumn I spent some Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons photographing around Gyeongbokgung, Korea's most renowned palace.

The Museum of Photography, Seoul

Last Saturday I went to a great photo exhibition "The Korean War Monuments" by Kang Yong Sok www.photomuseum.co.kr
His work is reminiscent of American Lee Friedlander's photos (the lower of the two photos above) of monuments in the US. So if you are a fan of Friedlander's work, you don't want to miss Kang's exhibition. And if you see Kang's exhibition but aren't familiar with Lee Friedlander, I recommend his book "Friedlander" published by the Museum of Modern Art, NY.

Teppen

Fun and super lively Japanese restaurant in Hongdae. The sake goes down a little too easily...

Snow on the brain...

Seoul had a ton of snow last week. It's all people are thinking about...

2010

I decided to set up this blog so people (myself included) can keep track of what goes on in my life. This photo is of a street right in the heart of Seoul, going up Namsan (Mt. Nam). It's part of my regular neighbourhood stroll.
